Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data ListingSnap collects when brokers use the platform and when buyers contact a broker through it, why we collect it, and who it is shared with. It describes our actual practices in plain language, in line with the Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). It is a description of practice, not a certification of compliance.

Who we are

ListingSnap is operated by {{COMPANY_NAME}}, registered at {{REGISTERED_ADDRESS}}. You can reach us at {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} with any question about this policy or your personal data.

Information we collect

Broker account information

When you sign up as a broker, we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) a WhatsApp or phone number, avatar image, agency name, license number, and a short profile bio. If you enable a public broker profile or add branding, we also store your website and Instagram links, brand color, and logo. This is stored against your account and shown on your public listing, project, and profile pages where you choose to display it.

Property listing content

Listings you create store the property details you provide (title, description, price, bedrooms/bathrooms, location, amenities, images, and similar), including the raw text you typed or pasted before it was turned into a listing. This is not personal data about a third party unless you choose to include it yourself.

Buyer / lead information

When a visitor to one of your public listing, project, or collection pages taps “Contact on WhatsApp” and fills in the contact form, we capture their name, phone number (required), and — if they choose to provide them — email address, message, what they're interested in (viewing, price, availability, payment plan), and a preferred contact time. We also record the page they came from (referrer) and their browser's user agent string. This is stored so it appears in your Leads dashboard, and you can export it from there. A visitor can skip the form and go straight to WhatsApp instead; in that case we do not create a lead record for them.

Usage and analytics data

We record anonymous page-view and contact-click events for listings, projects, and collections: which one was viewed, the referrer, a coarse device type detected from the user agent, and whether the WhatsApp button was used. A randomly generated identifier is stored in the visitor's browser (in local storage, not a cookie) so repeat views within a 6-hour window aren't counted twice. This identifier is not linked to a name, phone number, or email.

Cookies

We use the cookies Supabase (our authentication provider) sets to keep a broker signed in — these only carry a session token and aren't used for advertising. We also set a listingsnap_locale cookie, which remembers whether you've chosen English or Arabic for the site's own interface, for up to a year.

How we use this information

We use the information above to operate broker accounts and the dashboard; render your public listing, project, collection, and profile pages; connect a buyer's WhatsApp message to the right broker; show you basic analytics about your own listings; and generate listing copy using AI (see below). We do not sell personal data.

Who we share information with

  • Supabase — hosts our database, file storage, and broker authentication. All the data described above passes through Supabase's infrastructure.
  • Google Gemini — when you use the AI listing generator, the property description text you provide (and the number of photos attached) is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce structured listing copy. We do not send buyer/lead contact details to Gemini.
  • WhatsApp / Meta — when a buyer continues to WhatsApp from a contact form (or skips the form), their pre-filled message and WhatsApp identity are shared directly with you, the broker, over WhatsApp's own platform. That exchange is governed by WhatsApp's (Meta's) own privacy policy, which we don't control.

How long we keep information

Lead and analytics records are kept for {{RETENTION_PERIOD}}. Broker account and listing data is kept for as long as the account is active. Brokers can delete their own account at any time from Settings, which removes the account, its listings, projects, collections, leads and uploaded images. The anonymous view and click events described above are retained, but their links to the deleted account and its listings are removed.

Your rights

Subject to Bahrain PDPL, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or ask what we hold and why. Brokers can delete their own account directly from Settings. For anything else — including a buyer asking us to remove lead details submitted through a listing — email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} and we'll respond as required by law.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures — encrypted connections, access controls, and row-level database security — to protect the data described above. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee against every possible incident.

Children

ListingSnap is a business tool for real estate brokers and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the date at the top when we do.
